James is a London-based composer creating music for film and television.

His music is characterised by combining dulcet piano writing with delicate orchestral textures and hybrid elements to support the story on screen.

 

Originally from Devon, James has composed music for a broad range of film and television projects, with his work praised at popular film festivals across the UK and internationally throughout Europe, South America, India, and beyond.

 

Most recently, his score for Ranjit Singh Shubh’s film 'Relay' received strong recognition at the 2026 UK Asian Film Festival at the BFI Southbank.

He has collaborated with professional orchestras, choirs, and soloists, including the Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra and the Oxford Millennium Orchestra, taking every opportunity to bring his music to life through live performance and recording.
